Hi!!!! My name is Mary L. Bradt Saltkill. I have a George (GW)
Washington Bradt in my family. He was my grandfather. I don't think he's the same as yours but still could be related.
His father was David W. Bradt and his father was John Bradt.
I do know there is still cousins out there we haven't found. We
have a Bradt reunion to at Freedom, Oklahoma every two years. Next one will be the third Sat. in Sept. 2003. Held in
American legion Building at Noon. Everyone welcome. If my
family sounds like it could be part or yours email. Sure would
like to know. Email
Nice talking to you. Sincerely, Mary

Germaine, I have made some headway with N. Bruce Bradt.
He appeared in the 1881 census Ridgetown, Bothwell, Ont.
as follows (with his son, Brooklin)
Mary W F Scottish 62 b Ontario Disc of Christ
Bruce W M " 24 " "
Brooklin M " 6 " "
Emma F " 22 " "
Mary F " 13 " "
I assume Mary was his mother, and the 2 young women his
This means Brooklin was about 2 when his mother Mary died in 1877. So sad!
I also found on the Welland Library site, that Bruce died in the US...sorry I dont know exactly when.
I tried to email you, but the address I have is no good.

I just found your note. Perhaps, it is too old, but on the chance you may still be on this site, I am writing.

I too descend from Catalyntje De Vos - a direct female line descendent. However, I descend through her daughter Eva. I would enjoy "chatting" about the "family."

Also, I've had my matriarchal dna tested - HVR1, HVR2 and FMG - through familytreedna. Have you had yours tested? It would be fun to see if we actually are a match. Definitely one way to check my genealogy work... and find a "relative."

I hope to hear from you.

Best regards,

Anne Bulmer Brewer

1st BRADT Family Reunion for me will be July 2012. I am from the line of Grandfather Arent Andriessen Bradt. My Great Grandfather Vedar Carpenter Bradt did family research and my Uncle is researching now. I enjoy photos and stories of our family.

I have militia records for at least 5 Bradt men who served in the 5th Lincoln Militia on the Niagara Frontier during the War of 1812. I am looking for help with their family history for veteran biographies. Would like to exchange information.
