The last certain record I find referencing him is a 1920 U.S. census for Nashville, Ward 8, Davidson, Tennessee. The obituary of his mother states that he, his father, and his brother, William Rolla Keys, Jr, lived in Baton Rouge at the time of her death in 1935. I found a 1940 census for Police Jury Ward 2, Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge, Louisiana which includes an Edward Keys, occupation interior decorator in a dry goods store, as a lodger in the household of William R Davis; the age is right for my cousin and it shows him as being born in Alabama.

Information I would like to have is: 1) date and location of death; 2) burial place (cemetery); 3) if he married, the name of wife and any children and any dates for marriage, births, deaths; 4) a photograph; and 5) a copy of his obituary.

Thank you for any assistance.

He's not in the state death index, nor does he show up in the BR obituary index that's online. This covers obituaries 1952-1959, and 1966 - 1991.

I did find an article stating that Edward H. Keys was stationed at Camp Wheeler and another stating that he was discharged. If you'd like them emailed to you, send me your email address at munsonfly@yahoo.com

HI:
Try www.familysearch.org.
Check: World War I draft registration, the World War II draft registration, Social Security death index. Research his siblings and father, all the names you have, to see if he shows up on their documents, especially the parents for marriage records (use the familysearch.org filters and put the parents' names in only).

Thank you for your very good suggestions. I have searched FamilySearch.org and found the marriage record of his parents and the 1920 and 1940 census records mentioned in my post.
