I'm looking for information on descendants of Richard and Mary Ann Cooper of Melbourne, and their daughter Julia who married John Woolcott in 1864. In turn, one of their daughters married James Hutchings in 1900. I'm particularly keen to learn more about Julia.

Hi Tania again. Do you know how I can contact Cooper Woolcott Hutchins family then? Your conversation is the only one I've found so far. Not sure why you are such a Cooper expert but certainly value the info. I'm in conversation with the Portugese embassy guy in Vic who is going to help with some material as well. Looked up wikkipedia on Portugese Liberal Wars to see why the Queen was so greatful to Richard. Possibly he fought with Charles Napier since he named his 1st born Thomas Charles Napier Cooper.
Hope you can give me an email address for the Cooper tree gaurdian.
Cheers
Trish Giles
