Does anyone have info on this man? I found a land grant from the Library of VA for Jonathan Davis heirs...being
Samuel Davis (b. abt 1801) per census
Jonathan Davis (b. abt 1805) per census (married into my Parcell family)
Middleton Davis (b. abt 1806) per census
Moses Davis (b. abt 1810) per census
Elizabeth Davis (b. abt 1817) per census married Daniel Altick

The above Jonathan seems very old for these children; Sarah also as she was listed as 88 in the 1850 census

The grant was issued to the above children abt 1854. Could this man have been their grandfather?

Hello

I am just starting to look at my Franklin County Davis'. I am a descendant of Moses Davis and I am trying to link Lewis Davis in this line too. Hope this message gets through to you as your post was 2005. I am very interested in this line.

Lewis Davis was son of William who made his will in Franklin County in 1790. Jonathan Davis was son of an older Jonathan of Franklin County, per will.
