Rev Samuel Alexander Hamilton

We are trying to find the church records of Rev Samuel Hamilton who was a Presbyterian Minister. He performed a marriage in Hay in NSW in 1887 and we are hoping that his personal records may have survived and contain information on the marriage that we do not have. The Church unfortunately does not hold any of these records. Thanks Ken

Hi Ken,
Rev S A Hamilton was a very interesting and much travelled minister and I have found a site which may give you some hope of finding his records. My ancestors were married by him and there certificate was the only one on the page in 1866. It said he was the minister in Tarnagulla and he married them in Woods Point. This link I am sending says that Hay would remain part of the Presbytery of Castlemaine while he was Minister, so perhaps the marriage was recorded in Victoria??? The section you want to read is under "postscripts"
