myrtle viola jones or daub?

My g grandmother was Myrtle Viola Jones. She said that she was related to some Daubs in Ontario. It was believed that she had a sister and that the two of them may have been raised by some one other than both of their parents.
I am getting a sense of maybe her mother's name was Daub. GGrandmother said that they used go to Ontario to visit her grandparents who were Daubs. Actually, she called them VanDaub, but that may have been an embellishment on her part. I think these must have been her mother's family.
I am also getting a sense that maybe her mother took to this man named Jones against her parents wishes.
It is all so sketchy. So was her life.
I think that they were around Berlin, maybe. or, maybe another town in Ontario that sounded like an Irish town name.
I know this is a long shot, but, does anyone have an inkling about this in thier family.
I am thinking that my GGrandmother was probably born somewher around 1870. She ended up living in Michigan, and all over the place in her later years.
She claimed to be of Danish heritage.

Surnames: Daub, Hoffert, Jones, Hansen, Boone
Myrtle Viola Jones is my 2ggrandmother. Her mother's maiden name was Gertrude Daub. Gertrude was first married to Joseph Hoffert in Berlin (Kitchener), Ontario, who died. She then married William Jones (in Michigan, I believe)and had Myrtle, Hattie, and 3 sons who died of Diptheria.
I have also heard the name as VanDaub and that we are supposed to be of Danish decent, but have not been able to locate anything to support that. The Daubs came from Germany.
I noticed that you also had a posting for Christ Hansen and Amelia Rutzen. I am descended from them as well (through George and Hazel). Amelia has been a dead end for me as well.
We should have a lot of info to share if you are interested.
Myrtle's later marriages have me quite confused. I know she first married William Boone, ans was married to Walter Hill when she died, but in between, I have William Gee, Ben Roberts, and Willam Hooper/Hasper.
