Need to find the original location of the academy founded in St Louis in 1827 by Mother Phillipine Duchesne. Moved to present location on Meremac St in the 1860's, Now Maryville College/University. An immigrant ancestor leased property from the "Seminary of the Sacred Heart" in 1841 according to probate records. Interested in knowing if they have any archives from that period. Ancestor along with 4 family members died in June/July 1849, presumably due to cholera, but that is an assumption as no records have been found so far. Probate does not say. Location of leased property "Block 153 Franklin Street". Possibly bordered by St Anthony and/or 5th street. Any help is appreciated

The 1850 U.S. Census Mortality Schedule records many deaths from the 1849 cholera epidemic in St. Louis. See index on the St. Louis Genealogical Society website at http://www.stlgs.org/index.php?option=com_stlgssearch&vi...
