I am looking for information about John Baker who married
Cynthia Hutchinson in Madison Co., KY, 14/30 Apr 1817. I
would appeciate any information on their parents and on
their children.

I would like to find obituaries for both John and Cynthia. John died 22 Oct 1856 and is in an unmarked grave in Lexington Cemetery and I have no idea of when and where Cynthia died.

My SPECIAL interest is in daughter, Malinda Martha Baker
who was born 1822/23. I will be very grateful if anyone
can give me information about her birth, as to exact
date and where born.

I do have much information about descendents which I will
gladly share with anyone interested.

Blessings,
Ethel Adams

Janice, I am sorry that I cannot help you with your Baker
search. All I know of my Baker family is JOHN BAKER,
born in NC but was in KY in 1812 where he joined the army
and served five years during the War of 1812. He married
Cynthia Hutchinson and they apparently lived and died in
Lexington.
Peace,
Ethel

Lilburn & Raborn fought with the CSA army, Melvin & Sanford with the Union.
Raborn was married to Susan Stivers.

I am not Ethel and I am just now returning to doing any genealogy after having work of full time job and the nursing care of invalid blind mother in her 90's so I really need to give apologizes to all
in the meantime I have been able with cousins around to aid me added to the briefness of my earliest messages- so here goes some if this space is enough-the Basil Bakers are long list they all start with Maurice Baker of Eng came to Va and then moved to Md and then on to ky with some going the route with Boone to NC then TN then KY -Lots of Bakers one
Melvin and Sanford went USA and Raeborn and Lilburn CSA they were both grandsons and sons of Basil Baker 3 if you count the ones in our direct line from Maurice so get back in touch if you are interested and I will try to make sure to keep in touch with a reminder they will send thanks LOL janlbaker
