Surnames: Brown
Does this town still exist? My 2 gr grandfather, Andrew Jackson Brown was born there in 1826 and moved to MS. where he died in 1909.

Possible sibling names are Meredith, Polly and Catherine.
Almost sure one brother was named Joseph.

Have been searching 6 years for parents' names but no luck.

Any information on this town would be much appreciated, as I plan a trip there next year.

Thanks for any help.
Francine

Marysville is in the central southern part of Campbell County near Seneca and the Pittsylvania Co. line. If you go to Mapquest you can pinpoint it. Also, there is a MrSid Map for Campbell Co. at http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/ . Choose Maps, checkmark all the collections and search Campbell Co. This map has names of families, towns, etc. from the 1860's. Even though your Brown was long gone, there are other Brown families. Census reports might help. This part of Campbell Co. is in the Seneca District.
Good Luck!
Anne

My GGGgrandfather was born in Marysville also. His name was Fred Pearl Brown. Do you know the children of Andrew? I've been looking for years for Freds parents.
