Ronald Wade Corbett, a retired sergeant in the Portland Police Bureau, died Nov. 4, 1995, of cancer at age 81.

A private funeral will be held.

Mr. Corbett was born Feb. 18, 1914, in Elma, Wash.

In the early 1930s he worked for the Highway Department building the Columbia Gorge Scenic Highway.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army as a medic. He was a warrant officer during the Korean War and he served in Germany.

He served 34 years in the Police Bureau and was patrol sergeant at Central Precinct for many years. He retired in 1977.

In 1947, he married June M. Crocker.

Surviving are his wife; daughter, Colleen J. Hansen of Newberg; son, Col. Michael W. of Rome, N.Y.; sisters, Phyllis Sundquist of Portland and Charlotte Donaldson of Oregon City; brother, Ross of Portland; and three grandchildren.

Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Park.

The family suggests remembrances be to the Portland Police Bureau Sunshine Division, 687 N. Thompson St., Portland, Ore. 97227.

Arrangements are by Caldwell's Colonial Chapel.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2001, in Sunnyside Little Chapel of the Chimes for Charlotte May Donaldson, who died April 22 at age 91.

Mrs. Donaldson was born Charlotte May Corbett on March 28, 1910, in Elma, Wash. She graduated in 1927 from Oregon City High School, received a bachelor's degree in 1932 from Antioch College and a master's degree from the University of Washington. She was a social worker for the state of Oregon and then for private agencies, retiring from the Parry Center in about 1980.

Survivors include her son, Robert R.; daughter, Ann Wilcox; brother, Ross Corbett; sister, Phyllis Sundquist; and six grandchildren. Her son Craig died in 1999.

Interment in Mountain View Cemetery in Oregon City. Remembrances to Clackamas County Historical Society.
