I am trying to help my husband locate his roots and only rec'd a few names to go by...If anyone has any information we would greatly appreciate it... His G-mother was Annie Bernice Gaddie b)06\25\1903 married John Matthew Hall..her father was Robert Simpson Gaddie b)11/19/1873...his father was James Simpson Gaddie b)07/29/1833...his father was Tolbert (Talbert?) Gaddie b)1794...his father was Benjamin Gaddie b(?)...then the name George came up....
There was a intro letter stating the Gaddie's were from Scotland, but this is as far back as I can find and I'm not sure if the names and dates are in the correct order or if there's been any names left out....
Thanks for your help.....

In response to your April message, my husband is a Gaddie in Larue County. Annie Bernice Gaddie was his great aunt--his grandfather "Chester Ray Gaddie"'s sister. Please e-mail me and I will get info for you on family you are looking for. Thank you. Also, give me your husband's name location.

I am also looking into the Gaddie family line from Larue/Green Co. I have little information but do have a George Gaddie b. 1727 in New Kent, VA and married Ann Stovall. Their daughter married Littleberry Parrish. It was their daughter, Ruth who married a Mears in Green Co., KY. Does any of this match up with your info?

Hi Tina, Sorry, but I'm not sure if your George is our George..... I haven't been able to obtain any verification....
If I do find that the George's are the same I'll get back to you....

I also descend from the Gaddie line out of Larue County, Kentucky. I would like to find out any information on this family. My line starts with Elizabeth M. Gaddie, who married Singleton Chaudoin. Elizabeth was born 3/4/1843 and died 4/14/1928. There is some confusion because there is another Elizabeth M. Gaddie with almost the same birthdate. This Elizabeth was the daughter of Johnson B. Gaddie. My Elizabeth was the daughter of James S. Gaddie, born 10/11/1819 and died 1/29/1881. James married Emily Sympson. James' father was George Gaddie born 5/9/1781 and died 7/1/1863. George was married to Mary Durrett. Does this line match with anyone's line? Does anyone know who George's father was?
