I am looking for info on Joesph Garavalia or Garavaglia who came from northern Italy around 1905 Married Rose Bosetti from the same area and is Related to Carlos Merrimont in St. Louis I thin. Found a Michael Garavaglia in Denver who had a brother Joseph and a sister Lena which my grandfather did too any connection? Any info would be appreciated. I know my grama rose and the 6 kids went back to Italy around 19209 for a year or two and than returned.

Hello Jfz,
the name you are looking for is surely Giuseppe Garavaglia and not Garavalia. In my treee there is one Giuseppe in but he married Emilrina Corvini. Do you known the CITY where they come from?

Thank you for your reply, I think my Grama Rose came from a town up by Milan called Bufalora (sp)so my grampa was probably from the same area she also mentioned tochino(sp) My grama and the seven kids went back in 1922 and stayed for a year or so. My father had his first communion there. I have tried to look up the town but couldn't find it. I think when they came they did have an extra g in the name but took it out.

I Believe it was Buffalora or tochino and My Grama and all the kids went back in 1922 or 23 and came back a year latter.
