Looking for information on Dolores Karpen b 1918 South Dakota Parents: Anton Karpen (1877- 1918) and Mary Albers.
Anton is the son of Valentine Karpen and Magdalena Dorn.
If you're a direct descendent of Anton, I'd love to talk.

Hello, I am Sarah - the great-great Granddaughter of Anton Karpen. My GreatGrandmother was Alice (Karpen) Wright, Dolores' older sister.

Hi Sarah,
I sent you a message. I'd really like to compare notes with you. Please send me a message when you get a chance.
Thanks so much,
Jon

Hi Jon! Sorry for some reason the previous message didn't come through until now!
First off nice to meet you (since we are blood related and all!)
Grandma Alice was an important roll in my life (as I grew up right across the street from her) I actually mentioned to my father (who I think is your first cousin or no more then second cousin) who has fond memories of your Gradmother Dolores known as "AUNTIE DOE DOE". We would love to touch base with you. Dolores actually lived with Grandma Alice for quite some time during my fathers childhood.
I actually have a whole CD with pictures and family genology on it of the Karpen side.
Where are you located? We are in Southern CA. If you don't mind me asking - how old are you? Were you born here in So Cal or Webster South Dakota? So I can put the pieces together your biological mother was adopted? And Dolores was her biological mother? I mentioned this to my father and we are trying to put the pieces together. Talk to you soon!
Sincerely, Sarah

Sarah,
This is really great news. I am going to send you a private message with my email address and maybe we can continue the conversation that way? It will avoid airing all the family history on here.
Are you okay with that? I would definitely love to touch base with you and/or your father and I will tell you everything I know. I actually live outside of Philadelphia now, as does my mother, but we got here in a round about way.
Looking forward to talking to you,
Jon
