JOHN M. KEENUM OF GA/ AL

Surnames: KEENUM/SMALLWOOD/WILLINGHAM/
Looking for information about the John M. and Sarah Keenum listed in the 1850 Franklin County, Alabama Census. Does anyone know who John's parents were or what part of GA he migrated from?

Keenum: John M. age 50, farmer, born GA
Sarah, age 51, born GA
Mary, age 24, born AL
Alexander, 19, "
Sarah , 18 "
John, 12 "
John was at household # 636, nearby at # 634 were Willis and Martha Keenum, and at # 617 were Leander and Nancy Keenum. Leander, age 25 gave place of birth as AL as did Willis, age 30. The 1860 Census also lists other Keenums: M.C.; L. G.; Lewis, Anderson, Dudley and William.
Does anyone have a connection to these folks?

Susan,
John M. and Sarah Keenum had at least seven children; I believe but can't prove, that Leander G. and Willis belong in this family.
Willis had six children that I know of; Sarah Jane, Mary A., John Thomas, Pink, Leander and James M. I've been unable to locate a marriage record for him so I can't identify his wife.

Jo,

I have the census records for Willis Kenan 1860 Factory, Lauderdale, Ala
Listing
Willis 41 M
Rupell 41 F
Sarah E 15 F
Mary A 11 F
Thomas 8 M
Pinckney 7 M
Leander 5 M
James 2 M

In 1860 Franklin, Ala
John M Keenum 58
Sarah 65
Alexander 28
Mary A 25
John 21

in 1860 that would put the age difference for John M and Willis to be 17 years. Could be father and son .

in 1850 Marshall , Ala
Lewis Keenum 52
Matitua (?) 46
Gelpheng M. 20
Leander K. 16
Anderson C 14
Elizabeth L 11
Martha Jane 8
Moses GR 6

So I am really not sure who belongs to who. Still putting together the puzzle.
I have information on Willis line coming from Leander and would share what I have if you are interested.
Maybe we can work together to figure out this family puzzle.

I have the AL Census for John Keenum//Keenan 1830 Franklin, 1840 Marshall, 1850-60 Franklin and then Colbert. That's how I came up with him having at least seven children in the right age group. I'd love to compare notes This family kept naming children John, James, Alexander and Lee and a Lee Keenum signed the marriage bond for Alexander Ross Keenum in 1887.
I've corresponded with a descendant of Lewis Keenum; his son Leander D. Keenum died in Tishomingo Co. MS in 1870, buried in the Campground Cemetery. He was probably the one who married Cassie? found living there with four children in 1870 who later moved to Colbert Co. We believe there was a close relationship between Lewis from SC and John M. from Georgia; they stayed fairly close together. Lewis also died in Colbert Co.
I need to go thru my notes, this researcher told me that there were five Keenum brothers and I can remember him naming Lewis, John M. and Milligan but the other two names escape my memory right now. I've spent a lot of time in the Courthouses in Alabama and I've been unable to document that.
I've become frustrated!

I am related to MC Keenum but don't have any information about him other than what I have found in the census reports. If you have any information I would appreciate it. I am looking for his parents and siblings.
