Looking for info or relation to RIED'S of KY, counties I know of are Montgomery, Bath, Mafoffin, and Rowan Co. at this time. These are the first counties originally, then moved onto Shelby Co. some names are Stanley M RIED, Gertrude HAMILTON RIED, Thomas J. RIED, Malcolm M. RIED, Sr.( my dad). Jeff RIED, Everett RIED. I was married to Adonnia Ried back in the middle 1950's. She was the oldest child of Malcomb Ried. She had two Bro.'s
& two Sis.'s Joyce, Stanley, Malcomb, & Wanda. At the time we were married, Mr. and Mrs. Ried lived on Webb Lane west of Simpsonville. I hope this help's you some. I will have to get my memory to going now. I can remember Mr. Ried's Bro.'s and Sister. Cain't remember much about his parents. Maby we can get together and talk about this. I am still wondering how you are connected to the family.

I am donna youngest sister, actually half sister, but i didn't think of her as a half sister. I am from Malcolm Sr's second marriage. Am i to assume you may be Vivian's dad??? Both Malcolm Sr (my dad) and Mary Agnes Adler (Mrs. Ried at the time) are now deceased. Also none of dad's sibling are alive any longer. Uncle Jeff was the last to pass away in 2006. I remember dad talking about living on Webb lane. If I remember the house was a big house on the right if coming from US 60. Been out that road several times.

Adonnia and I divorced before any children. Adonnia married a Montgomery so I heard and they had one child. My mother lived across the road from the Old Masons Home in Webmont Sub. and was later a resident of the Home. My mother and Mrs. Ried were great friends even after we parted company. Mom new Adonnia was in the home just before she passed away. I kept saying I was going to see her but never did.
Do you live in or around Shelby Co. I live in Anderson Co. If you live close I can meet you some where. I can't travel very far due to a bout with cancer and I am on oxygen now.

So what would your name be? I knew donna was married to a Montgomery, but never knew him. Several years between donna and me. I live in bowling green, Joyce and wanda still live in Simpsonville and Stanley lives in bardstown. Malcolm jr passed away in 1988 and Dad passed away in 1992. I'm sorry to hear about your health. May I ask how long you and donna were married and how you met?

We married July 9th 1955 and was divorced in May 1958. My name is Donald G. Likes. I am 72 years (young). My cancer is in remission now and has been for 4 years now. Of course I only have 1 lung but doing great for an old man. I really don't think I can make it to where you live. If you are every up this way we can meet and do some talking if you would like. We had a mutual friend (Betty Lois). They were still in school at Simp. 10th grade. Betty's boy friends car broke down so Adonnia and blind dated so Betty and her friend could go out. As far as our marriage went we were both just to young and couldn't adjust to family life.
