I am searching for information on my grandfather, Silvio Zanetti, b.7/15/1882 in Borca di Cadore, Italy. Emigrated to Clifton, NJ 1905; married Mary/Maria Varetoni 4/28/1913. He died July 1932 in Detroit, MI. Four children: Theresa, Joseph, Edna, and Angeline Zanetti.
Silvio's parents were Guiseppe and Teresa (Sala) Zanetti of Borca di Cadore, Italy. I do not have dates for them. If you have any information on this line....or Varetoni/Varettoni or Sala of Northern Italy (Veneto Region, Province of Belluno), please reply. We may be related.

Reva, you most certainly have Cesaletti relatives - even if distant. Do you happen to know your grandmother's (Domenica Cesaletti) parents' names? My grandmother was also a Cesaletti, and several members of that family (but not her) came to the US.

Reva,
I just checked my genealogy, and I have your grandmother's line - Domenica Cesaletti - back for 10 generations. In fact, you and I are third cousins. There is too much to post here. If you are interested, send me an e-mail at Eileen.Debesis@Roche.com.

I have not started much research on my Zanetti line yet, but my great grandmother was Paolina Zanetti, born about 1873, and probably emigrated to Passaic, New Jersey in 1896 as far as I can tell.

She also lived in Clifton and then Garfield, and married Ernesto Breda. I don't know much yet about her brothers and sisters, but the Ellis Island ship manifest lists a Larice? Zanetti, age 56; Theresa, age 38; and Orsola?, age 6; coming along with her. I think I have names of her brothers and sisters jotted down somewhere from my grandmother, but I am not sure of their accuracy. I will have to locate them and post again here.

Perhaps since she lived in the same area, there is a connection?

Hi Ray,

I looked at this site for the first time in months today - and I was happy to see you visited San Vito. I am going to check out your photos - but please note, for your records, that my e-mail address has changed. It is now EileenDebesis@aol.com

Hi, my grandad was called Guiseppe Zanetti, he had a child called Gerrard, who was my father, and I think there was about 14 siblings.
Please let me know if you can find any connection.
Thanks

I have recently come across census and other records for the Zanetti family in Clifton and Passaic, New Jersey. I believe there is a relation of my branch of the Zanetti's, to at least two people who posted on thie thread: Mary Lou Weaver, and Reva Zanetti. However, neither had listed a valid email address here.

Hopefully, either one of you will see this message and respond, or someone on this board will have current contact information. Thanks.
