I've hit a dead end trying to locate any info fromPrince Edward Island,Canada sources. So many of the records from that area have been lost. I know that my g.g. grandfather was Charles MacWilliams,a blacksmith who sailed to PEI in 1803 with Lord Selkirk on the ship Dykes. It says they sailed from Kirkcudbrightshire,Scotland. I can't find out anything from there either. Any info about the family name will be of great interest to me. I believe our roots are in Caithness.

Thank you all.
