Looking for information on a John or James Ryan and his wife Julia or Judy Ryan. Know they were living in Mt. Moriac in 1851 and still there in 1860 but cannot find any other information. Tried local historical society but they cannot find anything either.

Any informatioin would be gratefully appreciated.

It is difficult to do anything with ordinary family name and uncertainty/inconsistency wth given names.

"....living in Mt. Moriac in 1851 and still there in 1860 "

What is your reference for them being in Mt Moriac in 1851 and 1860, and with what names...James or John, Julia or Judy?

How old are they and do you have names for their parents or children please?

Sorry should have added more info. Thomas is my gggrandfather - according to his marriage certificate he was living in Mt. Moriac in 1851 and moved there again in 1859 when his son Timothy was born and was still there in 1861 when his daughter Margaret Ellen was born but moved to Rockhampton in 1862. According to his marriage certificate his father was John and his mother was Julia and he was around 21 when he married. I cannot establish whether Thomas came to Oz on his own or with his family and found references to a James and Julia Ryan living in Mt. Moriac around those dates but cannot establish whether they are related. Have found an immigration record for a John and Judy who arrived with children including a Thomas but again cannot establish whether they are the same. A James and Julia attended the baptism of Timothy in 1860.
Thomas was a bullock driver when living in Mt. Moriac as stated on Margaret Ellen's birth certificate.
That is all I have and would like to try and establish whether Thomas had any other relatives here.
