His dates were roughly 1800-1873. He was in Gwinnett County in the 30's-40's at least, a Presbyterian minister for Fairview Church & Goshen Church. Also involved with Lawrenceville Academy - he later went to Atlanta.

Goes anyone know the names of his wife & children?

Thanks very much for the reply. Since John S. was 53, the possible son I am looking for might be living in another household. He was William Alfred Wilson, b. 1820, married to Asenath King. If I can impose futher, do you see him in the same census?

Hi,

I'm trying to link my great-great Grandmother, Lena Sheldon (maiden name Wilson) (1863 - 1951, Atlanta, GA) to this Rev. John S. Wilson. She should be his granddaughter, from what I've read.

I've been unable to find the father so far, so I just wanted to put out a general message to see if anyone has come across her or her father before in doing their own research.

Her mother's firstname appears to be Mary (b. 1830).

Her husband and son are Charles Augustus Sheldon, and Charles Augustus Sheldon, Jr (the notable Atlanta organist)respectively.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Wilson Sheldon

Thanks Loretta! I appreciate it. I'm working on the link to Woodrow Wilson now. John S. Wilson is supposed to be his Uncle or Great Uncle I believe.

Thanks again.
