I have a bible and photo albums that would be of great interest Iam sure to someone who maybe connected to the Nathan Hicks & Sarah Lemons Family....The bible and photos were passed to me as Iam the genealogist of the family. It belonged to me step mother Esther Maude Hicks Brooks...she had no children to leave it too and I have not been able to locate any of her relation. Esthers parents were Homer Hicks & Leona Dorman....Homers parents were Nathan Hicks & sarah Lemons.

Is this the Hicks from TN and GA? My greatgrandfathers father was George Washington Hicks/Knight. He added Knight after he moved in with a Knight family. George Hicks/Knights father or grandfather was a Nathan Hicks.

Pam, I dont know, I havent done any research on the Hicks..All I have is what was in my step mothers family bible. Iam trying to locate any family so that I can give them the bible and photos if they are related....

Hi, I spotted your thread about Hicks. I have just began to try to work on my husbands lineage. They are African-American from NC/Ga/Al. A few settled in Tn and some in Flo. Iam sorry havent been on ancestry for abit, Iam not sure if related, Ive not done any research on my stepmoms family...Ive just been trying to locate a family member to see that they recieve the bible and photos....my stepmother Esther was the last sibling to pass away, we know she had a niece somewhere but we havent been able to find her....

As I stated in my post, the family I am looking for are African American. If the photos you have are of this race I would love to connect for more info. thanks
