I am looking for information about Albert Frank Carter who was born in 1866 in East Sussex. In 1893 he was on board the Adriatic, heading for New York. Departed from Liverpool. Occupation Teacher. In 1927 he was on board the Aurania, heading for New York. Departed Southampton. Occupation Teacher. I have a letter from him to my grandmother (he was her gt.uncle) dated 28th December 1920. He is a Librarian at Colorado State Teachers College. His address is 1919 Tenth Ave, Greeley, Colorado. USA. I know from his letter he married Lizzie (Unknown) and had two children Albert and Emma. I am looking for more information about his decendants.

I also have a Mary Ann Funnell born 1854 in Brighton. She married Albert Relf born 1850 from Brightling. Also in my tree are the following members of the Miller family, but they are not my direct line. Rosa Miller married into the Selmes family, which is my 2xg.grandmother's maiden name.

Charles Miller 1894
John Miller 1892
Rosa Miller 1895
William Miller 1789

Hope you are still keen to hear from someone with connections to these families. Fingers crossed we have a connection. Regards. Penny

Hi Penny, I'm sorry to have to tell you we are not related as far as the Carters and Millers are concerned. My Carters and Millers are from Surrey. I probably didn't know that at the time I wrote my original query.

However, I do have a Mary A. Funnell, born in Ripe, Sussex, in the Brighton area. Her relatives are all from the same area. Do you think there could be a connection here? Do you know any more about your Funnells?

Best wishes,
Peggy

Hi Peggy,
I have Mary Ann Funnell born c.1854, birth registered Brighton, East Sussex. She is not a direct ancestor, so I don't have any more information on her, other than her marrying Albert Relf born c.1850. He was born in Brightling, East Sussex. Albert's parents are William Relf and Mary Russell.

If you would like me to do further research on her, please let me know.
Regards. Penny
