If someone could please look up who Oliver (Franklin?) Ellis (my ggrandfather) in the 1900 census for Henry Co., Ga is living with and any info it has on him. I think he is also in the 1920 in Fulton Co with wife and family. My Oliver married Bertha Jane Rowan in 1908 in Henry Co, but can't so much as get his fathers or mothers name. Thanks!!

That has to be him, can't find anything else even remotely close. So Mary F. Ellis must be his mother, and 2 brothers and 2 sisters. I was thinking maybe his father had died, but he wasn't in any of the census. He wasn't even in a 1880 census that I could find, and the children were being born around that time. And I thought they were in the 1910 census but they aren't in a census until 1930 Fulton Co. What a puzzle!! Thanks again

I couldn't find them in 1880 either. The only child that would have been born by the 1880census was Oscar in 1875. The only Oscar Ellis around that age lived with the following family:

I couldn't find this family in 1900!! It could be possible that Susan, Walker and Sarah died and with Oscar left, James remarried Mary and had more children. Then James died before the 1900 census. ???

There was one Oscar Ellis, same age, in the Georgia death records: Maybe you could get the death certificate to see who his parents were.

Okay Mary F. still here. Could William L. be in the family? Praying here lol! Oliver is married and maybe living with a family member or something, or going by the name Frank which is a family name. Leonard is also a family name which is what I noticed all the L. initials. Might just send off for the Oscar death record anyway. Even if the ones you posted aren't them i have a feeling they are related. OH and Wash is Oliver's nickname. (Don't have any clue why).
