Had children: Alonzo Allison b. 1852, Nancy Allison b. 1856, Mary Allison b. 1860, Abbigail Laine Allison b. Sept. 1860, and Virginia Allison. What did I get mixed up and what is right or wrong? I was reading your post from 2001, and it has struck a cord with me. I have just came across two tin pictures from my father's side of the family. On the back of them one says great grandma Boone, which I've figured out who she was. And the other one said Rose. I can't find a rose anywhere in my family tree on my father's side. Then I reread your post, and you mentioned a Rose. I'm not quite sure how she ties into the Allison family and maybe you can clear that up for me. I'm going to post this picture for you to look at. I don't know if it is her or not. My family tree goes like this:

Thomas Allison, Robert Welsey Allison, William Riley Allison, William Hershell Allison, Philip Aaron Allison, and me Vivian Sabrina Allison Ashley.

Hi I am answering this question regarding a Rose. I am also a Thomas-Allison gggggrandchild. My name is (Betty Jo Trotter Thomas, icie lou Ida Thomas Trotter, Abbigail Laine Allison Thomas, Richard Allison,)Rose was always listed in the family tree as a sister to my grandmother's mother who was Elizabeth H. Turner who was married first to Richard Allison and then to Noah Allison. It appears that this Rose went by the name of O'Kelly. Then, we found out later that the O'kelly family had adopted Rose and her last name was somthing else. This Rose married a Hicks. I am unable to remember what Rose's real name is so I will have to check my records and post it later. My Grandmother Abbie had brothers names High, Henry, Charlie, Frank, and Mon. High and Mon must have had other names. A lot of the Turners and Allisons are buried at Tesnetee Baptist Church in Cleveland, Georgia but there is a graveyard in Cleveland, Ga. called the Laurance Graveyard that contains mostly Allisons. Why it is called the Laurance graveyard is unknown. This Graveyard is on line i believe.
