My surname is ARNAO. It is found in both Sicily, Italy & Spain. The earliest known info I have found on the ARNAO
spelling is a Stained Glass window maker in Spain in 1522.

I am not sure, but there could be a connection between the ARNAO name and the ARNO name.

What historical info do you have on ARNO families. What cities in Sicily are they from.

Are the families in the Messina or Palermo provinces.

I recognize the Rizzo name as a neighbor of my mother here in New Jersey.

I think I just spotted the Anastasi name on LDS microfilm records of Bauso, Sicily in 1878.

I thought perhaps there was a connection to names I was researching = Bicchiere (glass), Cardille & Cardullo.

Hard to tell without knowing the exact locations in Sicily.
