I have not seen a roll call of surnames on this list for a while. My family names: Puterbaugh,Butterbaugh, Eby, Sword, Zuck, Studebaker, Anderson, Cross ect. all Carroll, Ogle, and Whiteside Counties.

Darla, The Anderson's I am looking for came from Scotland to Ogle Co. in the 1850s. A few lived in Carroll Co.

You didn't mention Puterbaugh in your surnames, but I have a Lulu Ackerman b. 1891d/o Christian, who married a Puterbaugh. I am interested in your Zook line. Amy

I found your post and see that you have Sword in your family. My gr.gr grandfather was Samuel Sword. He was my grandfather's grandfather. His name was Sterling Sword. I have a list of other names of aunts and uncles as well. I hope that this message finds you.

Got your msg but had trouble replying so hope this posts. Yes, my line goes back from my father Martin Sword, to Robert, to Martin Van Buren Sword (from his 2nd wife) to Henry and Hannah Sword. I have a lot of info on the family. The Sword family was tied in, thru many lines, with the Puterbaugh's and Zuck's (PA). google the "Sword Quilt" and it will bring up Christine's Carroll Co. site and the article I did on the family quilt. Did you see the photo of Sterling Sword which was posted?
