I have a photograph of my great grandfather in his uniform in England. He was born in 1861, Silsden, Yorkshire, England. He married in 1881, also in Yorkshire. Then in 1887 they come to America. His uniform is in England, family rumor has it that he served in the Queen's Royal Brigade. But I cannot find any such unit. So I would love to find out where he did serve and what unit. Thank you.

British infantry uniform, cap badge not visible - A name would be useful to aid further research.

Sorry to take nearly a year to respond. His name is William James Neil. He lived in Silsden, Yorkshire, England. He was born in 1861, and came to America April 1887. How do I search British Military Records? Any help would be greatly appreciated. (And I will try to remember how to get back to this board.) Thank you so very much. :)
