RI Newspapers

For a Military entry, the wiki says to key the first date, which most keyers are doing. What do you do with the date of death when it is included, if anything? Some are keying as a separate record.

Are you talking about the Army project or the RI Newspapers?

From the wiki: Sometimes an individual will have more than one date recorded on an image. If more than one date is associated with an individual and they are both vital dates (birth, baptism, marriage, or death), key each date as a separate record. If more than one date is associated with an individual that is an "Other" event, only key the first date.

Per Anna: If there are two events and one was a death and the 2nd an other event only the death would be entered.

But it's not so clear what to do if one of the events is a death and the other a "Military" event, as in this case. I thought all the events on a Military page would be Military events but not certain.

Anna has said to treat a military date as an 'other' event. So only the death event would be keyed.
