Can anyone decipher this?

This is from the 1850 Census. Any help on the first name would be appreciated. Thanks

The last name is Crapo
It is # 1395 on the 2nd attachment

It looks like Audrey, except that the person is a male. What about Andrew?

It doesn't look exactly like the other Andrews on the page, but if you look at the name above (looks like Thomas to me) he added a flourish at the end. The o in "Crapo" is overdone as well.

Thanks for the help, his name was Ambrose. Ancestry also has it listed as Andrew. Maybe it does say Ambrose?

Here's a snip of the 3 names which look like Andrew to me.

Maybe your guy was "Andrew Ambrose" or vice versa.

I am no expert, although I did work for 25 years in a job overflowing with bad handwriting.

My original thought was Audrey as well, although I could see Andrew
