My grandmother Anastasia Murray married Patrick Henry Scanlon. They lived near Baltimore in Linthicum Heights, Md. Theirs was an arranged marriage. He was born in 1902 and died in 1965. She was born in 1904 and died in 1963. They had 10 children: Edward, Patrick Henry (Jr.), John, Francis Xavier, Catherine, Josephine, Thomas, William, Joseph and Mary. They lived near Baltimore, MD and in Linthicum Heights, MD. We have conflicting stories that Patrick Henry (Sr.) was born in the U.S. or that he came to this country from Ireland when he was 5 years old. Patrick and Anastasia's marriage was an arranged one. Do you have further information on the Baltimore branch?

Sorry I am just getting started on this part of the family. My Murray's were in Baltimore from about 1680's to about 1800's, Then moved to Tennessee.

At this time I don't have a Caleb Murray. My Murray's were in Baltimore, Maryland, Campbell and Washington counties, in Tennessee and most moved to Missouri and spread out from there. I do have one family of Murray's that ended in Smith County, KS.

Beverly,
Thanks for the reply! Nice to "meet" another Murray relative. Would you happen to know any of John b. 1631 and wife Jame McClean's children besides James b.1665? I only have James and would love to add names, birthdates etc of any other children. Thanks.

Jame's born in 1665 is the only one I have found so far. I have a brother and 2 sisters for Jame's father John. I have seven children for James and Jemima (Morgan) Murray.
