Dehnhardt or Daenhardt family
Hi I have a GGGGrandfather named Johan Frederick Daenhardt. He was born about 1790 in Vejle, Vejle, Denmark. He married Zidsel or Lidsel Hansdatter on 4 May 1811 in Norup, Vejle, Denmark. Obviously Daenhardt is a German name. I am trying to extend the Denhardt name from Johan. Does anyone else have any ideas where I can start. At some point this family must have immigrated from Germany. I don't know why or when. Any help or guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks, Lynn

Re: Dehnhardt or Daenhardt family
Thank you so much. Would you know where in Germany he was born or how I would go about finding that information?

Re: Dehnhardt or Daenhardt family
Aloha, Lynn. My grandfather was Wilhelm Karl August Dehnhardt II, born in Germany, lived in Toledo, died in 1987. I've got pictures of him at his home in Germay as a boy. Wonder about the connection to your GGGGrandfather. Cindy

Hi, I'm trying to track down the Dehnhardt line as well. Have you had any more luck?

Re: Dehnhardt or Daenhardt family
I know that name August Daenhardt. I'd love a copy of the picture you mention. I'm looking for Johan Friedrich Daenhardt, who may be a brother.

Hr. Aasklint,
