I have a book of memories.birthday register for a late relative for the Malakoff area with a number of names and birthdates. I have two Pratts listed. Nellie Pratt april 25 and John Bower Pratt Sept. 9. No years but most in the book are from the mid 1800's.

Darryl; I have a rather large file on the Argue family. If you have transcribed the book, would it be possible to send me a copy. If you wish a copy of my Argue file, email me directly.

Thanks, ronald_milford@hotmail.com

I have many relatives from the Malakoff area at that time(many still living in the area or nearby). My mother was born there. Surnames include: Clarke, Moore, Duke, Dunbar to name a few.

My family tree crosses with a few Pratt families. Any specific info you are looking for in this area?

I know I have seen John Bower Pratt, in my grma's her notes. I also have a book listing all the burials in Rideau Twp. It shows a J. Bower Pratt buried at Malakoff.

It says "J. Bower Pratt
born 1862 died 1928
His wife Sarah Ida Montgomery, 1874-1960./ Pratt"

You can go to the website http://www3.sympatico.ca/scott.naylor/Graves/NewIndex/GraveM... and see the stone.

hope this helps. If you could find any records of my names in your notes, it would be great help.
thanks, Brenda

Hi any information you have on the early Pratt's would be greatly appreciated.

One of my gr... aunts married a man named Dillon. When I got her name from my gr. aunt, she only had her down as Mrs. Dillon. Her parents were (I believe) John and Catherine Johnston. Mrs. Dillon had brother's William, John, Thomas and James and a sister Mrs. Griffith. James ran the tavern in North Gower. My ancestor was Wm. John Johnston, he settled in Carsonby. I believe the family came from Cavan in the late 1830's to 1840. The father John died in Montreal from a fever after arriving.

Thanks so much. you can email me at brengenealogy@canada.com

Hi Mike,
Wondering if your Pratt history aligns with Ephraim Pratt who married Maria Smith whose daughter was Mary Almira who married Edmund Leslie...? Who would be my great grandparents.
