Surnames: Golding, Evans
I believe my Great GrandMother was Jewish. Her daughter my Grandmother, told her family that her Mother married out of her Religion and her family disowned her. I have her marriage certificate stating that she, Eliza Golding married a Thomas Evans in 1852 St Anne's Limehouse. Apart from that I have no records of her whereabouts until her death in 1881.
Firstly, was her name Jewish and secondly how do I go about tracing her family. I am desperate to find out.
Thank you for taking time to read this message

Hi
Did you ever have any luck investigating Eliza Goldings roots?
We share Eliza as a ancestor - she was my Great Great Grandmother and my Great Grandfather (her son) was Thomas Henry Evans. I have no knowledge of a family story relating to Eliza. The only family 'story' relates to the Evans side in that some one walked from Wales to London and have found it very difficult to prove - did you ever hear anything regarding this in your branch of the family?
Please let me know if you have found out anything further as this would prove really intersting.
Kind regards
Elaine
