Looking for information on where John (dob 1801) and wife. Anna (dob 1810) are from in Co. Cork. They came to USA in 1836 with son, Jeremiah (dob 1833) I do not know Anna's maiden name. They were Catholic. Am coming to Ireland in September and would greatly appreciate any help in finding the location of their town or village.

My great-great-granfather Daniel Driscoll emigrated from Ballydehob, County Cork, Ireland, around 1850. He settled in the greater Rochester, NY, area.

Would anyone happen to have any info on the Driscolls before they emigrated to the U.S. -- birth, death, marriage records, etc.?

I too have Driscoll's from Ballydehob. Sarah Minehan, my great, great grandmother (parents Denis and Ellen Driscoll) emigrated in 1850 to NYC. I have baptismal info on Sarah and siblings, but little info. on her parents Denis and Ellen. Coincidentally, Sarah marrried a Driscoll, John, on Staten Island in 1853. Any connections?

My gr-grandmother Mary Elizabeth O'Mahony and her sister Margaret were from Ballydehob, Skull, Cork, Ireland. I have been told that my gr-grandmother was about two when she came to America.
They apparently were raised in the Boston, Massachusetts area. Mary Elizabeth married a Magee. Margaret married a Driscoll.
Wonder if my O'Mahony's and Driscoll's are related to those mentioned.

My 3rd great-grandmother was an O'Regan of Raheen, Ballydehob, who married Florence O'Mahony around 1805. Their descendants lived in Derreennalomane, Ballydehob. I think Raheen is a prime place to look for Regans.

Brian, I,too, have the same lines/names as you do. Did any of your Mahoneys/Mahony/ come to Ontario, Canada? Mine came over here from Ireland about 1847 and owned land in Edwardsburg, Ontario for over 100 years. They got their land from the Crown. Not quite sure what that meant. My grandparents were the ones who came to Syracuse, NY about 1900. He worked on the railroad until his death in 1932. Hope to hear from you, Jean Mahoney Eustis
