If anyone is interested, I have a website called the Bischoff Family Archives. It contains some information about the Bischoff Family originating in Illingen, Wurttemberg, Germany. It also has a rather large family tree with a few Bischoffs that left for America and "disappeared". Among them are:
1. Johann Conrad Bischoff, b.1814, emig.1830 (son of Matthaus Bischoff and Sophia Barbara Muller.)
2. Johannes Jakob Bischoff, b.1827, emig.1854 (son of Johann Matthaus Bischoff and Rosina Dorothea Obergfoll.)
3. Wilhelm Heinrich Bischoff, b.1842, emig.18-- (son of Gottlieb Wilhelm Bischoff and Johanna Magdalena Weisseise.)
The website can be found at www.geocities.com/~bischoff-page. Hope this helps someone find their German roots.

My grandfather, Bernard Frederick Bischoff, was born (I think) in 1882 in Germany and died in 1939 in WV. I just started in geneology so I haven't figured out where he was born yet.He was a glass blower wo owned glass factories in Pa, Ohio and WV. I intend to look at that website and thank you. Abby

I know nothing about the husband of my relative, Harriet A. Mize Bischoff. She married Henry a. Bischoff on April 11, 1871 in Summit, Ohio. He was born around 1835.

Would love any information. I am deseperately trying to find her brother, Theo Mize.

Thanks

Yes, TY...but interestingly...it's only available AFTER I rejoined Ancestry a few days ago...lol

But, he has Johann Conrad marrying a Maria Kraus...or Krais.

The age would match my "Johann Conrad"...or "Conrad"..or "Conradt", who immigrated here in 1764...landing in PA, USA...but IF he brought wife...she was Anna Catharina, and 3 daughters.....the names of the men and women are so similar..

"conrads" on the men's side..."Anna catharine(a)s and "anna margaretha's" on the women's....im not ruling this out yet, though

David,

Your website link no longer works. Is there another place on the web that I can check it out? I am trying to trace my Great Great Grandfather Frederick Bischoff (b abt 1872) from Germany. He came to America in the late 1800's with his wife Augusta Ceil. They settled in Detroit, Mi.

Anyhow, please let me know if there is a way to get my hands on your Bischoff Family Tree, it sounds really interesting
