My grandparents lived in the Grudziadz area. Leon married Marcjanna Szymanska and came to Milwaukee, WI, where they raised their family. I have no record of their birth records, marriage and date of immigration. Marcjanna died about 1929; Leon died about 1935. Please help.

Hello:
I'm new to this site. I've also heard that story from my father that my great grandparents died in a gasoline stove explosion fire in Milwaukee, WI around the turn of the century. They had a whole pile of kids all split up. Not much else on the details beyond that. My grandfather was Phillip and he had 4 children. He grew up in Milwaukee and Muskego, WI. Lived a while as a "Baker" in Necedah, WI and later in Ontonagon, MI. He died in 1966 and I remember at least one of his brothers from Michigan at the funeral. Sounds like you might be a second cousin? Any chance that anyone has a date of that fire or possible a copy of the story that may have been in the Milwaukee paper? A line of relatives beyond that?

oops I think I lost the message I sent...let's try this again.
Ok. So my family tree, which by no means is complete shows that my Grandfather, John Kasimir Ceszynski, born 6-9-1897, had a brother named Phillip. Their parents died in a bakery fire. I don't know about the rest of the kids, but by grandpa was put into St. JOseph's orphanage. Timeline seems right. Also, how many fires could there be with the names Ceszynski involved during that time?
What I have on PHillip is that he married a Mary and I have two of the children's names that they had, Phillip and theodore. I don't know the other ones. Does this ring true to you?
If you are a cousin, I would love to hear or read what you know about that side of the family and fill in some of the blanks on my tree and maybe meet some family. I hope you are still getting messages from this site. Thanks, Jennie

Hi All,

My mother's father was Jerome "Jerry" Cieszynski. He was born Dec. 15, 1916 and died March 20, 1980 in Dickinson, Michigan. This is all I have for this line in my family tree. If you have any other Cieszynski info that may pertain to me, I'd love to hear from you pretty please!! wizofozgal22@yahoo.com

Thanks in advance,

Tina

Not sure, but "mushroomslayer" has more of a handle on our tree. I know there were members of our family in Michigan, his father, our great uncle Joseph" Bulldozer Joe" (1899-1974) and possibly others lived in MI. Send him a message

Got that one. Is this Donna's dad? Does this mean we are related? What is the connection? :)
