Hi Terry,
My Family Tree goes back to Droughtville, Ireland
I am in regular contact with a distant cousin
in Saskatoon, Sask. Canada. She is archiving
all information that comes her way.

Feel free to contact me at anytime, I am very
interested in the whole process. Tell me a
little about yourself, including email address.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Dear Peter,
Do you have any Odlums in your tree?
Several of my ancestors married Droughts,
most from the Kings Co. area as well as
Dublin. Would love to be able to trace them.
Thanks.

Hi Terence,

My family can trace our ancestry to sometime in the 1600's and Droughtville has always been referred to as our ancestral home. I have seen pictures of my great, great grandfather,Henry Drought-1797-1852, my grandfather,Thomas Drought-1869-1948, a picture of my grandfather, great grandfather mother and great uncles aunts.

Please contact me if you have any further interest. I would be thrilled to hear from distant relations! As would my sister, the keeper of the family archives.

Sincerely,

Shirley Drought

Hi Peter,

I don't know if you got the other message I posted.
I am also a direct descendant of the Droughts of Droughtville. My great, great grandfather was Henry Drought, my great grandfather was Thomas Drought, who married Jeanie Hacket Clarke and my grandfather was Thomas Drought,he married Cecelia Cresswell of Manitoba. Our line went to British Colunmbia, Canada. One of the elder cousins, either Ted or Geoff Drought visited Australia years ago and connected with the Droughts there. Does this sound familiar to you?
We have a photo of a painting of Henry Drought, that was painted in Ireland. It was hung in the Drought ranch in Canada.
Also, my sister has photos of a Drought family gathering in Morris, Manitoba from 1985 and a photo of Naomi Fraser's house in Ireland.
We are related somehow, obviously. Please contact me, as I'd love to share the family photos and all information I have in exchange for yours.

Sincerely,

Shirley Drought

Just a small correction-the Drought family gathering was in 1895. SORRY!

Thank you for the information regarding your family history. I am delighted to say that we are related as our respected families in factlived in 5 main homes in Ireland namely: Droughtville, Lettybrook, Ridgemount,Whigsborough and Ballybritt.

I would dearly love to have copies of the photographs of your ancestors to see if any match those that I possess. The family tree is becoming complicated and if you could send me your address I will post copies of all the information that I have todate.

Kind regards

Terry Drought
