According to German records Ferdinand HABERSTROH (born 12 Oct 1827) and his brother Christian Gottlieb HABERSTROH (born 15 Aug 1842) emigrated from the town of Duerrn in Baden, Germany, to the USA in 1869. They were the sons of Ferdinand HABERSTROH (1800-1877) and Karoline (ENGEL) HABERSTROH (1799-1876). Ferdinand emigrated with the consent of his wife, Christine (STAMM) HABERSTROH (born 19 Aug 1842), who remained in Duerrn. The family was Lutheran. I'm interested in finding descendants of this family in the USA. My home page (http://www.uni-bonn.de/~unq01e) has to do with this and other cases of "lost" US Haberstroh immigrants.
