Hello,
My name is Bonni Freese. I am a granddaughter of Elissa (Arellano) Freese. Born January 1, 1918 in Springer, New Mexico. She was daughter to Candido Arellano and RAMONA MIRANDA. My gandmother was a cousin to Ernesto.
Ramona and Candido had many children. Julio, Henry, Hortencia, Elissa, Ofelia, Lamberto, and Elmo. Ramona lived in Springer, New Mexico and Superior, Arizona. She ran a resteraunt in Superior during the mining days. Many of their children stayed in Arizona, however Henry Arellano lives in the San Diego area with his family.
I had a great-aunt, Jesus Miranda (married name unknown). She was Ramona's daughter. Not Candido's though.
My grandparents (Elissa and Henry Freese) had four children. Daniel, Robert, Mary and Michael. I am the daughter of Mary. I was VERY close to my grandmother. She was the back bone of our family. Later in life she took the nick-name Alice. She lived in Springer, New Mexico until graduating from college and then moved all over Arizona. Her and my grandpa had a business (Freese Floors) in Show Low, Arizona where she retired. She passed December 26, 1994. Please share any information you find on the Miranda family. How are you related to Ernesto? Also.... Ramona had a brother named Victor, who had many daughters, one by the name of Virginia. Her married last name is Compose. She lives in Lakeside, Arizona. She would have a lot of information. I am told she was closer to Ernesto than my grandmother. Virginia's children live in Mesa. Thank you. Bonni

I know your father attended Mesa Junior High School sometime in the 1950's. I teach at the school and was looking at some old yearbooks and saw his picture. Of course I was drawn to the name due to the Miranda Rights. He also attended Queen of Peace school in Mesa. You must have been very young when he died. I hope you have been able to find some information on him.

I don't know if you are still out there. I found a post while cruising around the internet. I happen to know The Arellano family. In fact I am married to one of Candido and Ramona's grandsons. There were actually nine children. Three are still living. Jesus,Julio, Elmo, Lumberto, Elissa, Hortencia, Lilly, Ofelia and my father-in-law the youngest Henry. Henry is now in his late 80's. He, Ofelia (Babe) and Lilly are the three surviving children. In the past few months both the sisters have gone to live in retirement homes. Up to the last few years they lived in Superior Az. Which is where they relocated to all those years ago. Henry has lived in San Diego Ca for most of his adult life. He is a wonderful man. I am very blessed to have him in my life. I would love to hear more about your connections to my family. My husband and I have two children and a grandchild. I have been trying to get a little family history to pass down to them. Daddy has such wonderful memories of being on the ranch with his father.
