I am Leo's daughter. He was born 2/28/11 in Altus, Arkansas.
His dad was George Raible and his mom was Katherine Post.
I think George's father was in Pennsylvania at some point and
emmigrated from Germany illegally as a stowaway.
Thank you. Rose Harper SabaMama1@aol.com

Hi Marilyn!
Yes, I too believe that we are related. I have heard the stowaway story and I would love to know more. Do you have any information concerning the area/town in Germany Johan was from? Do you have any info about the Post family?
I am just starting my search. George and Katherine had 10
children. My dad was the oldest. Children are Tecla, Rosemarie, Margaret, Celestine, Loretta, Bertha, Roman, William, Vincent and Leo (my dad). Leo, Roman, Tecla, Margaret, and William are deceased. Thank you for responding. I look forward to hearing from you. Roseann

John Leopold Raible b. 11/5/1899 was my father's brother. My father's name was Alois L. b. 10/5/1907 (or 06). William Anton Raible (my grandfather) was born 1/24/1867 in New York. He married Josephine K. Walbe who was born in 1871 in Fremont, Ohio. I can't find anything else on her. Johann Raible b. 9/8/1842 and Crescentia Zimple were born in Wuertemberg, Germany. Johann had 9 children. You may have all this info. I would like to hear from you.

Mildred,
Got the info from you on Raible family. Thanks for responding. My grandfather was Frank Raible. He married Magdalen Ashour. William was the oldest brother. Do you happen to know what town Johann and Crescentia came from and were they married in Germany or in the USA? I get so excited when I find a new lead. I live in Kansas City and you? Any info you need would be glad to share.

Hi, your gf, John Leopold Raible was a brother to my father, Alois. I was at the Prarie View cemetery on Tuesday and saw your gf's and Aunt Stella's graves. I don't remember your gf, and barely remember Aunt Stella. The only info I have is that Johann and K(C)rescentia Simple were born in Wuertemberg, Germany, and they had 9 children. I have a picture of Johann, Crescentia and the 9 children. I also have a picture of William, Josephine and their 4 children (3 boys and 1 daugher) - one of which is your gf, John. I haven't been able to find out anything about Josephine Walbe other than she was born in Ohio. Would appreciate hearing if you have any additional info. Thanks.

Hi, John L. and Stella Raible were my grandparents. He died
a little over 10 years before I was born. I was the one who put the flowers on the grave; hope they looked okay? I would love to have a copy of that picture. I'll get to looking for all the info on Josephine. That's the first time I've seen Crescentia's last name spelt like that others have be Zimple, Ziphel & Zipfel.
