My grandfather Ralph Raymond Rosier was born in Frackville, Penn on 7 July 1903. I cannot find anything on Rosier's in Frackville, so I assume that my great-grandfather whose name is William Alfred Rosier with no know birth date but died Dec 1930 came from Maryland. William married a Georgia Ann Cooper. I do know that Georgia died on 22 August 1940 and is buried in Maryland. Any information would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Hi, I am descended from Michael Light and
Rachael Israel. Michael Light was first
married to Eliza Dykes, the mother of Spencer
Sigal (b. 1860). Michael then married
Rachael (my great-great-grandmother) after
Eliza died. My great-grandfather is Henry
Gilbert Light who would be half-brother of
Lucinda Light (married to Thomas J. Rosier)
and uncle of Spencer Sigal, (your grand-
father?). So, I guess we are related!
If you have any family information you can
share with me, it would be greatly apprecia-
ted! Tracey Tate Cutler (email: fondue@
best.com) Thanks...

If you are related to Mabel Virginia Spatz-Rosier, who was married
to Robert Baldwin Rosier, I would appreciate
an e-mail. I don't have any information about
that side of the family other than the information
about the marriage, but no dates of marriage
or divorce. I would be interested in knowing
whether I have any family there now. Thank you.

My half-brother was adopted into the Rosier family. My mother told me that Mrs. Rosier was a school teacher and adopted my half-brother. The doctor had given my mother one year to live, so she gave Robert up for adoption. I met my half-brother when I was seventeen. I am sorry, I cannot remember the names of the other siblings in the household. Of course my mother survived until I was seventeen and then expired on my half-brother's birthday. Robert was killed there in Maryland. I am sorry I don't have a lot of details.

I just re-read the email that I sent to you and I don't believe that I gave you accurate information. My Mother married a Rozier, whether his first name was Robert or not I am not certain. But my half-brother resulted from the marriage--Robert Rozier. I have been very curious about the circumstances about my half-brother's adoption into the Baldwin family for some time. I have never sent away for a marriage certificate, nor have I sent away for a death certificate on the father of my half-brother. I do not know the dates of the marriage. I just know that my half-brother's birthday was February 14, 1935 or 1938. If you find out anything else I would appreciate your emailing me. I hope that this helps, thank you.

I was at the library at York County (PA) Heritage Trust today and saw a family genealogy booklet on their shelves with information which may be helpful to you. It listed Georgie Cooper Rosier (1872-1930), daughter of James Cooper (b. 6 JAN 1837, d. 26 OCT 1907 aged 73 yrs.) and Clara E. Armacost (b. 14 NOV 1854, d. 13 DEC 1928) Both parents were buried at Pine Grove United Methodist Church (formerly Ecumenical United Brethren), on Middletown Road, in Rayville, Baltimore County, MD. James Cooper was listed as a son of John W. Cooper (1812-1897). John W. Cooper was a son of my ancestor Tego Cooper and a brother of my great-great grandfather Alfred S. Cooper. This family genealogy states that this information comes from the John Cooper family Bible in the possession of Mrs. Viola S. Cooper.

You can contact the York County Heritage Trust for their help in obtaining any copies you may want. Their address is 250 East Market Street, York, PA 17403. Telephone: 717/848.1587. Fax: 717-812.1204.
