Hello, Is your Swader ancestors related to William Swader born in 1807 probably in Va? He moved to Rhea co Tn. then to DeKalb co Al. Please tell me of your folks and maybe we can tie them together. thanks, Barbara

Yes, he was married to Artemisia (Arty). He was my G.G. Grandfather. My G. Grandfather was Anthony Green Swader. One of his sons, Monte Belle was my Grandfather.
I have more info, but most of it is stored away at the present time. Will have to get it out and go thriugh it some more.
Do you have anything on his fahter. I think his name was Francis, but am not sure. If so, let me know, ok?
Thanks. Ed

Hello, my husbands great grandfather was John, brother to your Anthony Green S. Someone told me that Francis was Wms dad. but I have never been able to prove it. I know that Wm. named a son Francis. I always thought it might be for his dad.Do you know anything on Mary Ann or Monroe , Or their brother Francis? They are the ones I can not run down. E-mail me if I can help. Barbara

No, I don't know anything about Mary Ann or Monroe. Sorry. I think Francis was William's father. Our cousin David said that there was a son named Francis Drake, who was a school teacher in Oklahoma, but am not sure. Will have to do more reaseach along that line of the family tree.
Also, there was a William who married one of his cousins. Which one I don't remember. Anthony had a bunch of children, (14 or 15) I think. Will have to refer to my notes to be sure. There was also a branch of our tree whose name was Lelburn, or Selburn. Will have to refer to my notes on that also. Anyway....
Will have to get back to you in the near future with some of that info. ok? We do have a whole mess of cousins around the country, but I haven't had a chance to do all the research I need to do.
