Surnames: FORRESTER, FORTUNE
I'm researching my Fortune and Forrester lines and came across it, but can't find any in-depth site to explain what it means, other than a Scottish clan. Anyone know a good Scottish history site which might explain it better? Thanks, Lynda

That was a remnant of an old Strathclyde Briton Kingdom which eventually became a mix of Angles,Vikings and Picts. Boernicia exsisted on the Border between Scotland and wales.Foster,Forster Forrester are one fo the clans.They were reivers in the 15th and 16th century.Most dispursed ot Ulster,the Colonies or to England.
