From the Family Trees menu - Select the Sample Tree - I saw an arrow (to the right), touch the arrow to go the next page. There was an option to Remove Sample Tree. I did. It's gone. Hope it works for you.

Was this for the iPad? I don't see the arrow you mention within the Sample Tree on the iTouch version.

Thank you!

Hi Laurie,
This was for the iPad version. Not sure about the iTouch but they must have something similar.

Thanks for the reply. I'm sure you're correct, however it is evading me at the moment. :-)

Hi Laurie,

I just installed it on my iTouch(2nd Gen). Once I logged in I was presented with a list of trees. 1 was my family tree and under it was "Sample Tree".
Next to each tree was an arrow that looked like this: >
I clicked on the > next to the words 'Sample Tree' and was given the option to "Remove Sample Tree" by clicking on a big red button. Hope this helps.

My issue is more basic - I got a new iPhone and downloaded the app because I liked it on my old phone. When I looked at the list of trees, I was puzzled by Sample Tree and clicked on it. Now, I can't get out of it or get to my real trees. Any idea how to escape?

If you tap the name of the tree, in this case "sample tree" at the top, it will give you a list of your trees. It was here I found the arrow the others are talking about to delete the sample tree. Good luck!
