We definitely have the same Ransom SEAY. I have searched long and hard for his father and mother, though. I have been told his parents were John James SEAY and Anne Hatchett. However, I can find no proof. I would even settle for siblings of Ransom SEAY. There are other children of Alexander Marion SEAY and Emiline ARNOLD. James Deck SEAY and Octavia SEAY were two. Octavia died as a young girl about 12 and is buried in the cemetery at Bowie in Montague, County, Texas. Alexander Marion SEAY and his family came to Texas in 1872. He purchased an original patent to school lands in the northwestern part of Montague County. He was killed in a gun fight in January of 1880 and is buried in an unmarked grave near his home.

I have also searched for Ransom Seay and Sarah Oliver Elam. Their daughter Emaline Frances Seay married Henry Levi Couey. I am seeking any ancestors of Ransom or Sarah. Steve Stricklin told me that Ransom's parents are John or James Seay and Mary Ann Hatchett. Steve has researched the Seays, but he has had less luck with the Elams. I welcome any information on any of these people.
