Anybody out there got Alexander Wood born 1810 Portknockie in their trees ? He was married to Ann Sutherland and had lots of kids.

His father was probably John Wood born late 1700s

I am researching The Wood and Thomson Families from Banff Macduff area.

My great grandfather owned some boats called the Olive and the Drainie probably based at Macduff Harbour.

Is there a boat register I can look up that would help ?

The reason I ask is that my research has come across a possible son from this couple i.e. John Wood b.abt 1803 who married a Ann Falconer?

I have their son John married to Ann Falconer and then the line continues down to present day.

Other than whats posted on the tree I have no further information on Alexander and Jean.

I will have various certificates and extracts for their descendants

I have great-great-great-grandfather called John Wood (son of Alexander Wood and Jean Forbes) married 16 Nov 1841 to Ann Falconer (daughter of James Falconer and Margaret Wilson, but I have John Wood's birth date as 6 Dec 1813. He was drowned in the Great Storm of 1857. His children were Margaret, John, Ann, Jean, Isabella and Elizabeth Ann. They were all from Portknockie.
