This is the problem I can't find out exactly where they came from. each U.S.record says a different place, I can't find a passenger list

Nancy, one would need to see the handwritten "Uzasboria" on the 1940 census but I have my money on that it is a written as heard Yugoslavia.

different places have WHICH names? don´t forget some can be in former german and/or in slovenian, so you think different places.

one of them in Ellisisland-list? so tell us who (number in list) and we can possible make out the place.
