Surnames: Fyfe/Paton Alloa
Have been trying to track down the Paton side of my family. My GG Grandfather was Alexander Paton born about 1843 in Kinross, he married a Janet Fyfe born about 1846 in Stirling. They married in 1870 in Glasgow. Their marriage certificate shows Janet's parents as Catherine Livingston deceased and Thomas Fyfe, his parents as Peter Paton, Tailor and Marg Miller both deceased.

Any connection to your Fyfe's?
Thanks,
Bonnie

I got a possible hit for Mary Couper with the birth year you gave me,.but the last name was spelled Cowper. I need a date for William besides his birth year if you have it. Then there were several George Fyfe's. Can you give me town and birthdate?

Hi, I only have William Fyfe's year of Birth as 1852 but he was born in FOCHABERS Morayshire Scotland he married Mary Weir Couper/Cowper on the 28 Jan 1875 at High Street, Dunfermline. His fathers name was George Fyfe he was born in Bellie, Elgin, Morayshire 1819 but was listed a coal miner when William and Mary married in 1875. If this matches anything you have could you please reply. Many thanks Billy Fyfe
