I am searching for information about a Martin Hollenbeck/Holobaugh who probably served in a militia during the Revolutionary War. I know he was in Newberry county, South Carolina in 1800 when his daughter, Rossannah married Charles MILES. He was back in Rowan County, North Carolina by the 1815 tax lists. Family stories say he had many children and lived to be 105. His sons fought in the war of 1812. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have info on a Martin Hollenbeck but he was from Berkeley County, Virginia, moved to Newberry Co, SC then back to Cabell Co, (West)Virginia in the early 1800s. I know of 6 children, 3 boys & 3 girls and 2 of the boys served in the war of 1812, George & Martin Jr. Martin had a brother, Daniel who served in the Revolutionary War but I have not found a record that Martin served in the war.

I am familiar with Martin Holobaugh who once lived in Rowan County, NC.
He is a relative of my mother's family who came from Rowan.

Hope to hear from you so we might trade notes.
