I'm hoping someone might have a breadcrumb trail, as I've hit a bit of a brick wall. I'm looking for any information on Jacob B Woodson.

Jacob B. Woodson b abt 1806 died 1852 Pettis, Missouri
married Feb. 29, 1832 Franklin, Va
Pamelia Smith b abt 1806 d 1835
(daughter of Benjamin Smith (1781-1839 Bedford, Va and Nancy Southerland)

they had one son

George Blake Woodson b 1835 died 1916 Pettis, Missouri

Jacob and Pamelia left Virginia for Missouri shortly after they married, though her family remained in the Bedford area and the three (Jacob, Pamelia and George B) are all listed in legal Chancery documents concerning Benjamin Smiths estate.

Also look under Ballard records in the Chauncery records with Woodson as a def. I found Jacob mentioned along with some others related to the Clark, moorman and Ballard records. just type in the woodson name as a surname and it might bring it up.
