Would anyone be able to go to the
Old Fort Genealogical Society at Fort Madison to
check for a marriage between:
Elias Ruby b. West Point IA 6-7-1847
and
Mary Anne Rork b. Mt. Pleasant, Henry Co. IA 9-9-1852
I have the date 12-28-1875, but no proof that it is correct.

Thank you very much.
These people are my husband's great great grandparents.
They moved on to Missouri from Iowa and died in
Audrain Co. MO.

Hi James.
Thanks for responding to my inquiry.
Unfortunately, I don't have any information on Lizzie Cook.

If Irene Corey's book has any additional information regarding what I just mentioned or any corrections to it, I would be very grateful if you could share that with me.
I have information on Catherine Campbell's line back to VA, but I don't know anything about Elias Ruby b. 1818.

I also have an interesting story passed on to me that I will send you in a separate email directly to you.

Thanks again for sharing.

Zelia Rubey Igoe is my great great
grandmother. My mom has the wedding dress of Rhoda Campbell that was also worn by
Catharine Rubey and Zelia Igoe.

In the 1880 census it lists
Catherine Ruby 57
Zelia Ruby 15
Emily Ruby 13
Adolph Thurman 5 grandson
Fred Thurman 3 grandson

Do you know who the Thurman's might be?

Elias was living with Ann Rubey Hoakison's family. It was right before his divorce.

Always fun to find a link :)
